THE OSCAR ROMERO MEMORIAL LECTURE Oscar Romero and the Latin American Martyrs - Their Challenge to Christians Today
With the kind help of the Archbishop Romero Trust, Lauriston was delighted to welcome to Edinburgh Fr Dean Brackley SJ, from the University of Central America in El Salvador for the third annual Oscar Romero Memorial Lecture. Following successful evenings at Lauriston with Jon Sobrino and Mons Ricardo Urioste, Dean Brackley spoke about the legacy of the Jesuit martyrs 20 years on from their assassination, and the abiding place in the life of the people of El Salvador that they and Oscar Romero have.
