William Dalrymple hails from North Berwick, but has made his home in Delhi, India. That’s only a home base though - as Scotland’s foremost travel writer his journey’s are an important part of his life. His faith, too, plays an important role and much of his writing focuses on questions of faith as he encounters it around the world. His acclaimed book From The Holy Mountain considers the demise of Christianity in the Middle East, and his latest book, Nine Lives, searches for the Sacred in Modern India.
