The Lauriston Jesuit Centre

About The Centre

St Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Jesuits

The Jesuits in Edinburgh are members of the British Province of the Society of Jesus. In addition to this community there is a Jesuit community in Glasgow and a number of other Jesuits working elsewhere in Scotland engaged in parish ministry.

The Lauriston Jesuit Centre is designed to be a place for the Edinburgh Jesuit Community to present issues of spirituality, social justice and adult faith formation to the city of Edinburgh and beyond. We try to be ecumenical and inclusive and draw on many friends and colleagues from the city and elsewhere to help us in our ministry and our programme.

Refer to the ‘Events’ page on the left to see what is coming up at the Centre. And refer to the ‘Lauriston Jesuits’ page to see who we are!
